Outdoor Excursions

Join us for explorations and discussions of the natural wonders of the west. Participants will complete coursework through email as well as participate in an excursion to each locale to see the geology, plants and animals firsthand. You must attend the trip to receive credit for the course. These courses will be useful to anyone teaching natural sciences - most of the California State Earth Science Standards are covered. Those with a general interest in and appreciation for our National Parks and wild places are also welcome!

Fee: $300 for 3 graduate-level professional development units, $50 non-credit. Instructor approval required. 
Units: 3 PDUs.

These courses are not applicable for a degree at Pacific but can be transferred at the discretion of your institution. An official transcript is available from Pacific upon successful completion of coursework. While it may be possible for the credits earned in these courses to be used for salary advancement and state licensing requirements, we do not provide assurance that any state licensing board or school district will accept these credits for those purposes. Individuals seeking credits for those purposes are advised to check with the appropriate agencies and gain approval prior to registering.
