How to Give

You can support University of the Pacific in a variety of ways. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a profound difference.

• Cash Gifts - Cash gifts are the simplest and easiest gifts to make. They can be made through credit cards, outright cash, personal checks or cashier's checks. Make a gift online now.

• Pacific Fund - Your unrestricted Pacific Fund gift offers the University the greatest flexibility. What you choose to support is entirely up to you. You may designate your gift for any purpose that contributes to Pacific's three-fold mission of teaching, research, and service. For more information, please contact Pacific Fund Director Jacob McDougal or click here for further information.

Endowed GiftsEndowed gifts are invested and generate income in perpetuity, providing donors the chance to make an impact for generations. Endowments can be unrestricted or designated for specific purposes such as scholarships, fellowships, professorships, academic or research programs and facility maintenance. For more information, please contact Associate Vice President of University Development Janet Dial or Assistant Vice President of University Development Steven Harvath

Gifts of Appreciated Securities, Stocks and Bonds -

Such gifts offer considerable tax advantages if transferred to Pacific before they are sold.

For more information, please contact Coordinator for Estate and Gift Planning Kathy Fritz.

• Gifts of Personal Property - Gifts of rare books, works of art, valuable collectibles, and other items of value often offer considerable tax advantages. For more information, please contact Executive Director of Estate and Gift Planning Tina Hurley.

Estate and Planned Giving - Giving through your will or trust offers a way to support Pacific, while meeting your current financial needs. Other creative gift plans provide opportunities to transfer ownership of your home, farm or other valued assets to the University. For more information, please contact the Coordinator of Estate and Gift Planning Kathy Fritz.

• Gift Pledges - Pacific appreciates gift pledges, a formal statement of intention to make a gift to the University. With a pledge, you may complete your gift by making regular payments over a specific time. Each payment on your pledge is eligible for an income-tax charitable deduction. To make a gift pledge, please contact a gift processing staff member in Advancement Services.

• Recurring Gifts - You can arrange to make a credit card payment in any amount at a scheduled interval.  To set up a recurring gift, please contact a gift processing staff member in Advancement Services.

• Matching Gifts - Matching gift programs allow you to increase significantly the size of your donation. If your company participates in such a program, please obtain a matching-gift form, fill it out and give it to Pacific along with your contribution. For more information about making a matching gift, please contact a gift processing staff member in Advancement Services.
