Northern California Collaborative: This new program links LAW with six other law schools, offering educational, legal and practical support to alums who serve low and middle income clients, who often have no access to the legal system because of the cost of services. |
CA Youth and Correctional Agency |
California's Parole Advocacy Program: Recently awarded the "Program of the Year" award from the California Public Defenders Association, this program administered through LAW's Institute for Administrative Justice via contract with the state Youth and Correctional Agency, trains attorneys to represent parolees and administers a statewide system of conducting revocation hearings. |

Center for Collaborative Policy: A joint project with California State University, Sacramento, this program provides to the state cost effective methods of conflict resolution, mediation, negotiation and collaborative consensus building in addressing public policy issues. |
This service provides California voters with updated and unbiased information regarding initiatives placed on ballots. Student writers and editors provide easy-to-understand analyses for each initiative, providing a valuable service to the public. |

Street Law International: Approximately 10 LAW students serve as instructors to teach high school students at Sacramento High School's St. Hope Academy, through a practical participatory course about law, democracy and human rights. |

Multi-tiered partnership includes grant-sponsored work to develop an educational pipeline to post-graduate school for underprivileged children. Working with UC Davis Health Systems and numerous researchers, LAW provides advisory assistance to the bookstore and student store at St. Hope and Sacramento High Schools, donates legal books to Sacramento High and allows students to use LAW facilities, specifically, the Library Computer Lab. |

Clarence Brown Scholarship: The University of the Pacific and McGeorge School of Law has established two Clarence Brown scholarships for qualified students from Oak Park to attend the University and then law school. It provides a means for under-represented students to gain a four-year undergraduate degree, followed by a three year law degree. |

Oak Park Community Outreach: LAW is proud to participate in many redevelopment and community outreach activities, including sponsorship of the local T-ball baseball team, participation of the Oak Park Business Association, providing meeting facilities for the local YMCA organization, LAW police officer participation in the local "Cops and Coffee" monthly community dialogue opportunity, dean participation on the Sacramento Region Community Foundation Board of Directors and sponsorship of the Oak Park "Summer Concert Series." |

Police Athletic League (PAL) Tutorial: Working through LAW's Federal Work Study Program, our work-study qualified students tutor local children at the PAL Center. |
Community Legal Services Clinic On-Campus Clinics: Through our Community Legal Services Clinic, legal representation is provided to indigent individuals in a variety of civil litigation matters, including landlord/tenant disputes, divorce and child custody proceedings, immigration, unemployment insurance matters and bankruptcy case. Under the supervision of experienced attorneys, students represent clients in state and federal courts and before administrative tribunals. |

Off-Campus Clinics: Taking advantage of the law school's location in the State Capital, students are provided with the opportunity for practical experience at over 75 externships at state, city, county, federal, judicial and non-profit institutions. |

Immigration Clinic: Under the supervision of State Bar-certified specialists and other experts, LAW students assist low-income populations with legal matters dealing with adjustments of status and naturalization matters. |
Institute for Legislative Practice: LAW promotes effective government by providing lawmakers with nonpartisan information and analyses on significant public policy issues. Additionally, the institute sponsors symposiums, speakers and legislative seminars on key topics confronting California and conducts neutral assessments of pending legislation. |

Sponsorship of "Perspectives": LAW supports the annual Sacramento Chamber of Commerce event "Perspectives", by providing financial support for the event, leadership attendance at the luncheon and speaker series, and manning of a LAW exhibitor booth publicizing the educational and community outreach programs at LAW. |
