Orthodontic Department: Orthodontic Department and St. Vincent's School in San Rafael (free orthodontic treatment for boys between the ages of 7-18 years who come from abusive home environments - currently four boys are in treatment).

California Wellness Foundation, Golden Gate Regional Center

 Pacific Center for Special Care: Focus on Prevention Grant working with the Golden Gate Regional Center, a social service agency in San Francisco that provides services to people with developmental difficulties.

California First 5 Commission, Delta Dental Care

Early Start Grant: Administered by the Delta Dental of California (working with eight California Regional Centers).

The Statewide Task Force on Oral Health and Aging

Aging Oral Health: Formed to advocate for oral health among our aging population. Designated as "Task Team" of the California Commission on Aging.

California Endowment

California Pipeline Community Capacity Study: This project arose out of the California Pipeline project that funded all the California dental schools. It is designed to assess the capacity of all community clinics in California to work with the state's dental schools in placing dental students and residents in these clinics for community rotations.

Presidio Trust

Student Housing Project: Partnership with the Presidio Trust, a wholly-owned government corporation, since signing our master lease in 1999 for 22 units, allows us to provide additional housing for our students.

 

Student Community Outreach for Public Education (SCOPE): SCOPE is a student run organization at the DEN to involve students and faculty in oral health projects directed towards community needs.

Project Homeless Connect

Students and faculty screen homeless people and refer those requiring care to the dental school for limited urgent care four times each year.

Sonrisas

Students volunteer on Saturdays to provide care at Sonrisas Dental Clinic, located in Half Moon Bay.

On Lok

Students rotate through this senior health-care facility located in San Francisco.

La Clinica de la Raza

Students rotate through this clinic in Oakland and provide care for the disadvantaged of the East Bay.

Laguna Honda Hospital

Students rotate through this hospital clinic where long term care patients are treated.

San Francisco Dept of Public Health

HIV+ patients receive funded care at Pacific through a grant managed by SF DPH.

Dental Assisting Programs

Four local dental assisting programs rotate their students through the dental school clinics to provide enhanced education for both assisting and dental students.

San Mateo County

The dental school partners with San Mateo County to provide funded transportation for county patients to receive care at Pacific.
