EdD in Education - Curriculum + Instruction

The Doctor of Education (EdD) is the highest professional degree in the field of education. Our EdD program serves professionals who are leaders in curriculum and instruction in schools, districts, or universities. The program also prepares educators for teaching, research, and scholarly writing at the college and/or university level.

Students may elect to concentrate in one or more specific areas. In order to earn a concentration, students must fulfill the general requirements, as well as specific concentration requirements. Each department offers a number of concentration options.

Pacific admits students for fall and spring semesters. Admission to doctoral programs are a holistic decision that take into consideration all the factors of each applicant's background and experience. There is a program prerequisite requirement of having completed a master's level course in the field of curriculum. It is variously referred to as Curriculum Foundations, Principles of Curriculum, Curriculum Theory. Applicants who have not had such a course will be required to add EDUC 209 Curriculum Theory to their program of study. For more information about the application process, please contact Graduate Admissions.
We're committed to making your education affordable. In fact, nearly 75 percent of all pacific students receive some form of financial aid, with an average financial aid package of $22,000. We work hard to make sure that every student admitted to our program has access to the full array of loans, grants and scholarships.
