First-Year Orientation
COVID-19 Update:
We were looking forward to meeting you and your family members in person at University of the Pacific’s New Student and Family Orientations. However, due to the COVID-19 situation, this summer’s New Student Orientation will be moving online to ensure the health and safety of our community. Updated information has been sent to new student's Pacific email addresses and included on our New Student Orientation and Family Orientation pages.
New Student Orientation is a mandatory program for all incoming students to Pacific. Due to the changes in light of COVID-19, all new students, Transfer and First-Year, will be participating in New Student Orientation together. There are New Student Orientation sessions available in June, July, and August. Orientation Leaders, faculty, and staff will introduce you to life at Pacific and prepare you to make the best academic and social choices for your college career at University of the Pacific.

Summer 2020 New Student Orientation Dates
- Session 1: Monday, June 22nd - Thursday, July 2nd
- Session 2: Monday, July 20th - Friday, July 31st
- Session 3: Monday, August 3rd - Friday, August 14th
Orientation Session Registration
As the summer 2020 Orientation experience will be online this year, students will be registered for orientation sessions based on the date of their confirmation of enrollment:
*Conservatory of Music is only offered in August.
Session Changes
If you are unable to participate in your designated orientation session, fill out this form. You will receive a confirmation email in your Pacific email address when your session change is approved and your should see the change in your insidePacific.
**Please note: There are no refunds of orientation fees available.
New Student Orientation is Mandatory

First-Year Fridays
Starting in June, connect with your fellow new students, orientation leaders and campus community to learn more about life at Pacific and ask any questions you may have. First-Year Fridays are for students entering their first year of college. A calendar of topics will be sent to your Pacific email address, posted on our website, and posted on our social media.
