Paul Desmond Papers
Desmond (1924-1977) was an essential member of the Dave Brubeck Quartet in the 1950s and 1960s.The Desmond Papers contain a variety of materials such as letters, photographs, and clippings. The heart of the collection is formed by the correspondence principally to his father and the diary-like "memos to myself."

David van Kriedt Papers
van Kriedt (1922-1994) studied under Darius Milhaud at Mills College in the 1940s, where he became a member of the Dave Brubeck Octet. The Papers consists primarily of musical scores and includes parts for jazz standards and original compositions arranged for the Dave Brubeck Octet, as well as musical theory notes by van Kriedt.

Howard Brubeck Papers
Howard Brubeck (1916-1993), Dave Brubeck's older brother, was a noted composer of classical and jazz works. The collection consists primarily of musical scores by Howard Brubeck. Several files of documents are also in the collection, including letters from Howard Brubeck to Dave and Iola Brubeck in 1961 and 1962.

Susan Matheson Collection on Iola Brubeck
Matheson was a graduate student who studied Iola Brubeck as the subject of her Master's thesis, In the Stream of Time: Iola Brubeck's Contribution to Jazz. This collection consists mainly of recorded interviews and transcripts conducted from 1995 to 1999 with various musicians and individuals involved with the Brubecks from both a musical and business perspective.

Iola Brubeck Letters to Mary Jeanne Sauerwein  
The collection consists of dozens of letters and postcards from Iola Brubeck to Sauerwein between 1947 and 2000. The letters demonstrate a personal view of Iola's important role in the success  of her husband Dave Brubeck.
