1. Are family members required to attend Family Orientation?
Family events, including Family Orientation (not offered Summer 2020) and Family Member Mondays, are not mandatory for family members to attend. TOP

3. Can a Family Member participate in a Faculty Advising appointment?
Student privacy rights are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The most updated version of University policy on disclosure of student records and FERPA can always be found in the Academic Catalogs (see here). In accordance with FERPA, faculty advising appointments are private, student-only meetings. If a student would like to request that someone else attend the meeting with them, the student should contact their respective Associate Dean or Academic Advisor (listed below) for further instructions regarding how to complete a FERPA release with the specific school/college prior to the scheduled 1:1 faculty advising appointment:
