College of the Pacific Council
The College of the Pacific Council (COP Council) is the representative body of the faculty of the College. It consists of twelve members of the Voting Faculty of the College: four from each division (Humanities, Natural Sciences and Social / Behavioral Sciences).
The COP Council gathers information, makes recommendations, formulates and approves policies on matters listed in Article 3 of the College of the Pacific Bylaws. The Council is responsible for advising the Dean of the College on all matters related to the educational programs and administrative procedures of the College. The faculty jointly with the Dean of the College makes recommendations to the Provost regarding general University matters that affect the academic programs of the University. Elections
Elections for membership to the COP Council are held in March each year. The Chair-Elect and the Executive Committee of the COP Council are elected at the last meeting of the Council in the spring semester. Elections for membership to standing and ad hoc committees are typically held in October and in March as needed. Representatives serve three-year terms.
Meetings
The COP Council meets in the Wendell Phillips Center (WPC), room 119, from 3:30-5:30pm on the first Monday of the month. All meetings are open to the whole faculty.
