Message from the President
Dear Members of the University Community;
As Pacific's new President, I wish to clarify my intention regarding authority for decision-making at the University when matters that would ordinarily be brought to my attention must be acted on in my absence. In matters of urgency, when I cannot be reached, Provost Phil Gilbertson will make such decisions. In the unlikely event that neither I nor Provost Gilbertson can be reached, and when matters require an urgent response, Vice President for Student Life Elizabeth Griego is designated to make such decisions.
While I anticipate these alternate lines of authority will be utilized rarely, they will serve to ensure that matters of importance, especially pertaining to the safety of the university community, are handled in a timely and professional manner.
