Funding - SPIF
The Sustainability Project Investment Fund (SPIF) was established by the university in 2012 to fund projects that advance the University's sustainability efforts at any of the three campuses. Funds are available to Faculty, staff, and students.
SPIF Funding Timeline
September - February: Prepare applications
February: Applications submitted
March - April: Applications reviewed by Sustainability Committee
May: Notification of awards are distributed
July 1: Funds are released for approved project implementation the following fiscal year
Resource -AASHE Hub
The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education has resources related to all avenues of sustainability in higher education. There are resources for faculty on how to address sustainability in the curriculum and examples of ways students have adopted sustainable practices on campuses. Because Pacific is an AASHE member, everyone with a pacific.edu email address can access the AASHE resources.
