Annual Jane Austen Night
English Professor Amy Smith hosts the annual "Jane Austen Night" as part of her English 134 class on Jane Austen, who became one of England's foremost novelists. The event, which is supported by the Humanities Center and the English Department, is free and open to students and the Stockton community. Wine and refreshments are provided, and the lively event serves as a festive forum for students from the class to share their projects related to the author and her works.
Below are photos from the Jane Austen Night held December 2, 2009.

Students Annmarie Obligacion and Kiki Manti ('10) conceived of and designed t-shirts for the class to commemorate Jane Austen Night 2009. The quote on the back of the shirt comes from a classmate who used it in a class assignment. It reads "Wit, Love, Conflict, and Dashing Bad Boys."
