Study and Travel Abroad
The Conservatory of Music maintains an active international presence with educational experiences focusing on opera, film, drama, dance, and/or popular music in countries such as Austria, China, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Italy, and Slovakia.
Previous tours:
2016 - Students, alumni, faculty, and staff from the Conservatory traveled to New York City, New York to watch Yelena Dyachek '13 compete in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Audition Grand Finals. While in NYC the Conservatory hosted a reception and vocal recital for alumni, friends of the Conservatory and prospective students. The event was held at the National Opera Center in Manhattan and featured four Met district winners with Paul Stroba '05 as musical director.

2008 - Students from the Conservatory of Music participated in a collaborative performance which included instrumental and vocal students at the New York University Prague campus. Included was a private backstage tour at the Berliner Ensemble and an emotional visit to the concentration camp Theriesenstadt outside Prague.
2007 - Students and faculty traveled to conservatories in Prague and Bratislava, performing excerpts from Sondheim’s A Little Night Music. Pacific students attended classes at the Prague Conservatory and a student recital in Bratislava. Slovak students also performed traditional Slovak music and dance for the Pacific students. The Pacific Flute Choir performed a world premiere by Conservatory professor Dr. Francois Rose.
2006 - Students performed excerpts from Sondheim’s Assassins at Berlin's Technische Universitaet. Pacific students interacted with musical theatre students from area conservatories including a roundtable discussion of Assassins and the differences between American and German training.
