Magnetic Resonance Facility

The department of chemistry has the following NMR capabilities:

  • JEOL ECA 600 MHz instrument

The departmental NMR instrument is made possible by a Major
        Research Instrumentation grant from the
        National Science Foundation
        (NSF-MRI grant #0722654).

The JEOL 600 MHz Magnetic Resonance facility of the Chemistry Department allows analysis for multiple elements (auto-tuning) at variable temperatures and has medium-throughput capability (8-slot autosampler). Pulsed-field gradients allow experiments with indirect detection. The magnet is equipped with two probes, one of which has inverse geometry for enhanced 1H-sensitivity.
