Announcements: Lisa Itaya will be stepping down as of today as a committee member to IPC due to changes at the Dental School.
Gilbertson distributed a copy of Pacific Rising brochure to the committee for the purpose of having it readily available for reference during our meetings to ensure that we are in-line with our goals.
Minutes: Minutes of October 16th minutes approved as distributed.
Alumni: Survey Report
Leland and Byl presented a report on Alumni. The report was very thorough using a wide range of questions to better understand how alumni see the institution and why they donate to Pacific. Alumni would like to know more about the faculty and students are doing. This would provide a better connection between alumni and Pacific of today.
Yield Analysis Report
Rajala briefed the committee on three different reports. They were:
1. Enrollment Initiatives 2006/07
2. Admissions Initiatives
3. George Dehn Report
Please visit our newly revised, students.pulse.pacific.edu/admissions, site. The site is highly interactive and matches the look of the new brochures that are being used in Enrollment. The George Dehne research was very insightful in areas of improving our enrollments. There were over 50 plus different suggestions. Areas of focus will be Marketing and Communications, Financial Aid Initiatives and to Diversify Markets.
WASC Proposal
Brodnick provided the first draft of the WASC Proposal. It is currently being worked on by the WASC Proposal Steering Committee and will be completed in the next four weeks. The committee has been working on this since January and is using the structure of the six commitments, the strategic directions, blended with the WASC standards and criteria for the foundation of this proposal. IPC will see an updated version of the Proposal and the committee is requested to provide feedback at our next meeting November 13th.
Next meeting is November 13, 2007 in the Taylor Conference Room.
