Group Campus Visits
In order to be proactive in response to the spread of COVID-19 around the globe, University of the Pacific has transitioned to remote instruction through the end of the spring 2020 semester, and has canceled on- and off-campus events for the spring semester. In addition, the Office of Admission has suspended all campus tours and information sessions until it is deemed safe to return to campus. We at Pacific understand that the disruption to your plans is an inconvenience; however, please know that our priority is ensuring the health and safety of our campus community, prospective students, and families. If you have questions or would like to discuss alternatives to an in-person campus visit, please contact the Office of Admission at 209-946-2211 or admission@pacific.edu.
We encourage you to check this website frequently for updates, and to visit our FAQ on COVID-19 for the most up-to-date information about Pacific’s response. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we work on solutions in these uncertain times.
We look forward to working with you to plan your group visit to University of the Pacific. We ask that group visits be requested at least three weeks in advance and if a need to cancel arises then we ask that it be done within two weeks of the planned visit. Group tours are offered at 9:00 am, 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. They are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis through the Office of Admission. We can accommodate groups of a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 100 students.
For more information, please contact admission@pacific.edu or morosco@pacific.edu. You will receive confirmation of your request within three to five business days. Weekend tours are not available. Tours provided by our Tiger Team are available to high school and Community College groups only (see details about accommodations for each group below). We are happy to offer group tours to elementary and middle schools only in the summer (end of May, June, and July).
- 15-minute information session conducted by a Tiger Team member
- 15-minute student panel with 2-3 students
- One hour campus tour led by a Tiger Team Ambassador
Lunch
Groups can make arrangements to eat lunch at the DeRosa University Center. If you would like to purchase lunch, please contact the Bon Appetite Catering Coordinator, Camille Barrett, at 209-460-3891. The DeRosa University Center accepts payment in the form of cash or credit card only. School groups are welcome to bring packed lunches and eat at DeRosa University lawn or Knoles lawn.
Parking
Groups arriving in only one bus may first unload students in the white loading/unloading zone located between Burns Tower and Faye Spanos Concert Hall. Buses should be parked in the Stadium lot off of Pershing Avenue once the group is unloaded and we do not require a parking permit. We ask that groups arriving in multiple buses unload passengers in the Stadium Lot. Private cars or vans may park in any "B" parking space or Visitor Parking and require a free parking permit. Parking permits will be sent through a final confirmation email after group visit request has been confirmed and processed.
