Theta Alpha Phi
Each year Theta Alpha Phi members (professional theatre society) produce a revue of musical and dramatic works entirely student produced, designed and directed. Profits from this production are given to the Society’s philanthropy: Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Conferences
Our students and faculty participate in and present at conferences on campus and across the country. This is a great way to stay current with trends in theatre, meet others with a passion for performance, and gain recognition for scholarly and creative works. Some of our students have received summer fellowships for undergraduate research.
Pacific Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference (PURCC)
This annual conference on Pacific’s Stockton campus recognizes and celebrates students engaged in a range of scholarly activities, including creative works. Theatre Arts students may present in the Poster Session or may have the opportunity to read a paper. Creative activities showcased for Theatre Arts have included “Euphorah,” an original musical presentation, and Steampunk jewelry pieces for Oberon and Titania in “A Midsummer Night's Dream.”
U.S. Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT)
The USITT conference in late March focuses on the technical production aspects of theatre, such as stage, lighting and costume design. Attendees have the opportunity to interact with professionals in the industry and learn about the latest innovations. Our students attend workshops, take advantage of recruiting opportunities, learn about graduate school programs and network with students from across the U.S.
Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF)
Affiliated with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C., this series of national and regional festivals provides a venue for theatre departments and students to showcase their work and refine their skills. Pacific’s faculty members teach workshops at the festival. Students attend productions, participate in workshops, audition for summer employment and interview for graduate school placement, among other activities.
