Discussion of Budget Requests and Funding
Perro initiated the discussion giving an update on the budget adjustments:
King reenforced the importance of the 2 full scholarships needed for Athletics.
Cavanaugh's budget priorities for the division are Security, Campus navigation, and Deferred maintenance. He also mentioned an article in The Princeton Review regarding safety in residence halls. On a 100 point scale, Pacific came in at number 94 while Davis placed at 84 and Sacramento State at 85.
Meer's top priorities for Advancement are Phonathon Director and Annual Giving Operating Support. "Pacific Today" Operating Support has been removed from the requests.
According to Gilbertson, General Education is the top priority in the academic budget.
He added the three top priorities in OIT as Desktop Anitvirus and Firewall Protection, Operations Budget, and Security Officer.
The focus in Student Life, as Sina pointed out, is on International Programs & Services - Study Abroad, Orientation/Advising - Faculty Compensation, and the Career Resource Center Position.
