Steve Greenwood named assistant vice president/chief facilities officer

Aug 3, 2020

University of the Pacific Vice President for Business and Finance Ken Mullen has named Steve Greenwood ’99 assistant vice president/chief facilities officer, filling the position previously held by Graeme Mitchell. Greenwood assumes his new role August 3.

Greenwood brings extensive experience in facilities management, including his prior role as director of Physical Plant at Pacific. He also held a variety of other facility management roles before joining Pacific in 2018, notably with Lawrence Livermore National Lab where he worked with a laboratory program run by the University of California, Berkeley.

Mitchell recently retired after five years of service at Pacific, during which time he modernized facility operations and led the planning, construction and renovation of numerous facilities, including Calaveras Hall, Grace Covell Hall, the William Knox Holt Memorial Library and Learning Center and the Muddox Building in Sacramento. Graeme seamlessly navigated across the university with his can-do attitude and collegiality, Mullen said.

Greenwood, a Pacific alumnus, earned his Master of Business Administration from the Eberhardt School of Business. He is currently working toward his EdD in Educational Leadership at Benerd College.

Please welcome Steve as he transitions to this new role.
