Rollover benefits provide easy enrollment this year

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and continued remote learning and working for the fall semester, we have canceled this year’s open enrollment benefit fairs. Open enrollment for the 2021 plan year will be a passive enrollment period and is scheduled from October 28 to November 18, 2020.

A passive enrollment period is one where employee benefit elections from the previous year simply rollover to the next, with the exception of contributory benefits. Contributory benefits include Health Savings Accounts, Medical Flexible Spending Accounts, Dependent Care Accounts, parking, transit and United Way contributions. Contributions to these accounts must be reelected. 

Please watch for additional communications regarding the open enrollment process, including a schedule of Zoom meetings to answer questions you may have.
