Academic Division

Kendall Bennett is a new graduate clinical legal fellow in Community Legal Services at McGeorge School of Law.

Nicoleta Bugnariu

Nicoleta Bugnariu is the founding dean of the School of Health Sciences and joined Pacific on June 1. She brings with her more than 20 years of higher education academic and administrative experience. Bugnariu earned her PhD in neuroscience at University of Ottawa, Canada and a postdoctoral fellowship in rehabilitation sciences at McGill University in Montreal. She also completed the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine program at Drexel University, College of Medicine and her executive MBA at Neely School of Business, Texas Christian University. 

Oscar Cardoza is a new graduate clinical legal fellow in Community Legal Services at McGeorge School of Law. 

Lynda Connelly is a new audiology program service assistant on the San Francisco Campus. 

Barry Fountain is a new sales associate in the Clinic Simulation Lab Dispensary on the San Francisco Campus. 

Lewis Gale has been appointed interim director of the Freshmen Honors Program. Gale, professor of business and chair of the faculty in the Eberhardt School of Business, has demonstrated through his leadership, teaching and service a deep commitment to Pacific and its students, as well as innovative and strategic program stewardship. His term is effective for one year beginning May 16. 

Claire Godwin is a new graduate clinical legal fellow in Community Legal Services at McGeorge School of Law. 

Christopher Goff has been appointed director of the General Education Program. Goff, a mathematics professor, will assume his new role on August 3. Goff, in collaboration with the General Education Committee, faculty and staff, will oversee university-level educational initiatives and programs related to General Education, including diversity requirement courses and the developmental education/fundamental skills program, as well as serve as an advocate for students and educational quality. Goff joined Pacific in 2002.

Julian Gonzalez is a new graduate clinical legal fellow in Community Legal Services at McGeorge School of Law. 

Virginia Warnken Kelsey is a new assistant professor of practice in voice for the Conservatory of Music for the 2020–21 academic year. Kelsey has toured major concert halls in the U.S. and the world and has performed with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Seattle Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and BBC Symphony Orchestra, among countless others. 

Allison Newberry was promoted to VA certifying officer and evaluator in the Office of the Registrar on the Sacramento Campus. 

Benom Plumb is the new program director for Music Industry Studies and Music Management in the Conservatory of Music. Plumb, an educator, songwriter, producer and artist, will take over for retiring Professor Keith Hatschek. Plumb earned his bachelor of music at the University of Texas, Arlington, and his master’s of music industry degree at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. 

Sylvia Warner is now an administrative assistant II in the occupational therapy program on the Sacramento Campus.

Business and Finance

Jeffrey Carriker is now the supervisor of custodial and grounds in Physical Plant on the Sacramento Campus.

Enrollment Management

Melissa Yamanaka was promoted to diversity and outreach manager at the Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Pacific Technology

Karie Hearn was promoted to business support specialist II.

President's Division

Christopher Rodriguez was promoted to baseball head coach in Pacific Athletics after serving as the interim head coach for the Tigers in 2020. Prior to being named interim head coach on January 6, Rodriguez spent one year on the bench as an assistant under former head coach Ryan Garko in 2019.

Student Life

Ariel Henley is a new accommodation specialist in Services for Students with Disabilities. 

Jennifer Howell is the new office manager in Student Health Services. 

Michelle McDaniel is a new staff therapist II in Counseling and Psychological Services. 

Morgan Northcutt is a new accommodation specialist in Services for Students with Disabilities. 

Carlton Oler is a new staff psychologist II in Counseling and Psychological Services.
