Faculty and Staff Working Remotely
- Faculty should continue to work remotely. Faculty who desire to teach from a classroom on one of the campuses should discuss that option with and have approval from their dean.
- Staff should continue to work remotely, unless their roles have been deemed essential to support operations by their senior management or they are already working on campus.
Faculty and Staff Working on or Visiting Campuses
- Faculty and staff who wish to visit campus must coordinate with their respective dean or supervisor in advance of their arrival on campus.
- They also must contact the Public Safety department on their respective campus to advise them of their visit(s) and provide their mobile number so they can be reached in case of an emergency:

- Faculty and staff working on campus or visiting campus need to follow these health and safety protocols.
- Daily screenings will be required through this web-based form using your Pacific login.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be distributed by department supervisors. Please coordinate with your supervisor to ensure you have this equipment when visiting or working on campus.
Process for Employees who Test Positive for COVID-19

If faculty or staff test positive for COVID-19, they should promptly self-isolate, then report their isolation status to their supervisor and Human Resources at human_resources@pacific.edu
- Employees who need to self-isolate should avail themselves of Pacific’s Interim Leave Policy
- Follow isolation requirements outlined in county public health orders:
Employees can return to campuses once they complete the following:
- Resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath), and;
- Negative results of an FDA Emergency Use Authorized COVID-19 molecular test from at least two consecutive respiratory specimens collected more than 24 hours apart (total of two negative tests).
