Presidential search: Board evaluating final candidates

October 31, 2019

Dear students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors and community members,

The search for our next president continues to proceed on schedule. The Presidential Search Advisory Committee (PSAC) last month recommended to the Board of Regents four finalists for consideration. The board has been deeply engaged in conducting multiple interviews and performing background and reference checks to evaluate which individual is best suited to lead our great university.

At its meeting last week, the board spent considerable time discussing the finalists and weighing them against the qualifications and characteristics identified in the Presidential Prospectus. Over the next few weeks, the board will be working to reach agreement on a final candidate to be our next president.

The next communication will be the exciting announcement of Pacific’s next president, anticipated to be made by December.

The board is grateful to the members of PSAC, and to the many staff, faculty, students, senior leaders, alumni and regents who have been involved in this process and have helped make it a success.

Sincerely,

Norman Allen ’88, ’94
Chair, Presidential Search Advisory Committee
