Career Paths

According to Public Health Online, graduates with a heath studies degree can work in a broad range of occupations and specializations, including community health, health marketing, pharmaceuticals, government affairs and public health.

In California, employment in health studies related occupations is expected to grow by 18 5 percent through 2026, faster than the average for all occupations in the state (10.7%). Similar growth patterns in health studies related employment are projected at the regional (18.5%) and national levels (15%).

The largest volume of related jobs in California are for medical and health services managers (43,400) job openings expected by 2026.

Due to the high projected growth of health managers and public relations specialists, graduates with a health communication or health business specialization should find abundant employment opportunities.
