Discover Health, Exercise, and Sports Sciences
At Pacific, students secure a foundation in the sport sciences along with a solid liberal arts education. In addition to acquiring a broad base of knowledge and intellectual skills, students can specialize within our areas of concentration.
Regardless of the specific path you choose, we offer many opportunities for learning and research outside of the classroom, often through our faculty members who are active in the community.
Experiential Learning
Exciting experiential learning opportunities are available in our major and concentrations in Health and Exercise Sciences. These are non-classroom real-world experiences that integrate theory with practice. They include varied opportunities within:
- Physical therapy clinics
- Professional sports
- Occupational therapy clinics
- Orthopedic clinics
- Outreach programs at St. Joseph's Medical Center and other hospitals
Research Opportunities
Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to participate in ongoing research with Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences faculty. Students are involved with everything from data collection and analysis to presenting and publishing. Many of our students have presented research findings at local, regional and national conferences.
