Transfer Students

The School of International Studies (SIS) welcomes students transferring from other colleges and institutions. Students who have completed any post-secondary education after high school graduation (except courses taken the summer immediately after graduating high school) are considered to be transfer students. Students wishing to transfer to the University of the Pacific should have maintained good standing with all colleges attended. Most candidates who gain admission have grade point averages of 2.80 and higher.

We want to help you select courses at your current college that will transfer and satisfy actual degree requirements for the SIS majors (International Relations, Global Studies and International Affairs & Commerce) at Pacific. Use the resources on this page to help you as you plan your courses at your current college and as you prepare to transition to Pacific. To get started, you'll want to look at the curriculum plan for the SIS majors for the first two years, including general education and core courses - these are the courses that you will want to take at your community college (with the exception of Pacific Seminar - if you transfer to Pacific with 28 or more credit units, you will not be required to take Pacific Seminar 1 or 2). You can identify the corresponding courses at your respective community college through ROAR, Pacific's online articulation system
