Annual Sustaining Pacific Events
Green Move In: During campus move in, Green Team crew members are stationed throughout residential areas to help keep recyclables (especially all that cardboard) out of the landfill.
Sustainability Month (April): Series of events in April that contribute to or celebrate environmental sustainability. Flagship events include the Green Fashion Show and John Muir's Birthday celebration.
Green Fashion Show: This is the celebration of sustainable clothing and fashion, as made possible by designers, models, and make-up artists who volunteer to work with us. We hold a fashion show to display their works and have judges who decide on a winner dependent on the categories for that particular year.
Sign up as a designer, artist or model for this year's show by Monday, March 9, 2020.
Green Move Out: This is the collection of usable but unwanted items from residence halls. Collection stations are set up in each residence for student to donate their items. Green Team then collects items and donates them to the appropriate campus partner. In 2017, over 1,000 lbs of items were donated.
