2018 Calendar of Events Welcome to Sustainability Month 2018! This year's theme is intertwined! Intertwined describes the related social, economic, and environmental connections that make up sustainability. It highlights that the impacts of our actions are felt in all three areas and solutions must also address all three areas to be lasting and effective.

Magazine Strip Art | Endangered Animal Silhouette
Tuesday, April 3rd 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the Reynolds Art Gallery
Use strips from unused magazines to make a silhouette of the endangered animal of your choice. Open to all Pacific and Stockton community members.
Cooking for Beginners
Thursday, April 5th 5:30pm to 7:00pm in the Kitchen Co-op, Towerview Apartments #5
Your kitchen doesn't have to be a nightmare! Join the Kitchen Co-op for a simple cooking class where we'll teach you knife skills, herb and spice mixes, and other simple cooking from scratch.
Eighth Annual Green Fashion Show
Friday, April 13th 6:00pm to 9:00pm in Grace Covell Hall
The Green Fashion Show showcases fashion pieces that have been created using sustainable materials, outfits that are created through up-cycling or more. This could mean that pieces are created from materials such as: organic or local textiles, natural material such as plant matter, upcycled thrift store purchases, garbage materials, and more.

Andrew Fisher presents "Can the Anti-Hunger Movement Solve Hunger, or Just Feed People?"
Thursday, April 19th 12pm to 1pm in Wendell Philips Center (WPC) 140
Andy Fisher is a leading national expert on community food security. He will discuss his book Big Hunger: The Unholy Alliance Between Corporate America and Anti-Hunger Groups which exposes the web of connections between the food industry and anti-hunger groups that impede the elimination of food insecurity. There will be light refreshments.
Second Annual Garden Party
Friday, April 20th 5:00pm to 8:00pm in the Robb Garden
An evening of drinks, appetizers, and live music in one of the most beautiful spots on campus in the Ted & Chris Robb Garden, the Bon Appétit Native Plant Garden, and the Abigail Robb Plaza. Open mic, chalk art activities, and more!
John Muir Birthday Celebration
Monday, April 23rd 12:00pm to 1:30pm in the DeRosa University Center Marketplace
Celebrate with free Dundee Cake and photos with John Muir. Muir was an entrepreneur, inventor and influential conservationist. Learn more at the event or by reviewing the largest collection of his original works housed at University's Library.
Knot your Average Service Event
Thursday, April 26th 1:00pm to 4:00pm on the Wendell Phillips Center (WPC) Lawn
Join Sustaining Pacific in upcycling old clothes into new blankets, beanies, gloves, and booties for those in need. All items created will be donated to the Stockton Shelter for the Homeless.
