Reset your password

To reset your u.pacific.edu gmail or PacificNet password using Locksmith, do the following:

1. Go go https://locksmith.pacific.edu and log in by selecting your campus and typing your PacificNet ID.
2. From the Locksmith Main Menu, click on the Forgot Password iconType in your desired new password and confirm if entry is successful

Enter three security answers to the questions you set up previously, and select Google and/or Pacific Net with the check boxes.
or
use the SMS reset option to receive a code on your phone.

3. Log out of Locksmith
4. Open a browser window and type https://mail.u.pacific.edu in the search bar.
5. Type Google Gmail account and password
6.From Main Menu, click Gmail icon to view email

Note: When logged into Locksmith, you may also click the Enrollment button and enter a cell phone number to enable password resets via SMS.*Remember that any PacificNet password you choose must be a strong password, consisting of:

    At least eight (8) characters
    Three out of four of the following:  lower case letters, upper case letters, symbols and numbers

You may not re-use strong passwords, or use passwords with recognizable words.

IMPORTANT:  Once you have changed your password, whether or not you do it with Locksmith, be sure to change it on any computer and device you use for any services which use your PacificNet credentials.  If your laptop, for example, has the new password but your iPhone or Android phone still has the old one, you will be locked out and will be unable to access PacificNet wireless and other services that require current PacificNet credentials.
