Background
Kara first joined University of the Pacific in 1993 as a personnel assistant at UOP's Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. In 1995 she assumed the position of Director of Human Resources, and later in 2015, became the Assistant Dean for Human Resources and Support Operations. In 2017 Kara became the inaugural Campus Director for the San Francisco campus.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Kara reports to Vice President for Business and Finance Ken Mulllen, and has direct leadership over the San Francisco Campus human resources office, building operations, and the business office, with indirect leadership over Public Safety and other San Francisco administrative units. As the campus director, she collaboratively manages a campus operational strategy that aligns with institutional initiatives and ensures a cohesive set of services to all Pacific staff, faculty and students.
