New employees and notable changes | May 2018

Academic Division

Derek Bradley is the new assistant director of education abroad in International Programs and Services in University College. Previously, Bradley served nine years as a regional director with International Student Exchange Programs (ISEP). Prior to ISEP, he lived in China for five years, teaching at Beijing Language and Culture University, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and Anhui Normal University.  

Niraj Chaudhary transferred to the position of associate university librarian for organizational innovation in the University Libraries.

Irene Hernandez-Martinez is the new coordinator of summer sessions.

Heriberto Holguin is a new administrative assistant II in the Gladys L. Benerd School of Education.

Siya Liang is a new teaching dental assistant in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Business and Finance

Dolores Alaniz was promoted to planning and analytics facilities administrative officer in Real Estate Management, Physical Planning and Space Management.

Nuvia Ibarra is a new custodian, group I, in Physical Plant.

Eduardo Perez is a new internal auditor in Internal Audit.

Development and Alumni Relations

Briana Bacon rejoins Pacific as the assistant dean for development in the Conservatory of Music and the Brubeck Institute. Bacon has been working as a consultant for the Conservatory since February and was excited to take on the role full-time May 31. Previously at Pacific, she was director of development for the Brubeck Institute and assistant dean for development for the Eberhardt School of Business. 

Casandra Fernandez was promoted to director of alumni relations and events for McGeorge School of Law. Fernandez has worked at McGeorge School of Law since 2007 as campus events and alumni activities director, where she was responsible for managing all major events for the law school.

Dianna Martinez was promoted to coordinator of alumni relations and development at McGeorge School of Law.

Pacific Technology

Samantha Duenas is a new project manager.

President's Division

Sylwia Lipiec-Qualls is the new marketing coordinator for the Conservatory of Music in the Office of Marketing and Communications. Lipiec-Qualls comes to Pacific from the Downtown Stockton Alliance where she was the graphic and communication manager for 13 years. She brings a wide range of marketing skills and experience in social media marketing, website content and management, advertising, print and digital communications, and community engagement.    

Cory Riecks is the new assistant women's volleyball coach in Pacific Athletics. Riecks joins Pacific following a five-year stint as the assistant coach for the Northern California Volleyball Club in Sacramento. There he helped the club to three consecutive 17-win seasons as well as three straight USAV Jr. National Open Division appearances.

Shannon Schipper, director of the Women's Resource Center, will serve as the university's interim Title IX coordinator while a nationwide search is conducted to fill the position this summer. The interim appointment became effective June 2. During this time, Schipper will continue to serve as director of the Women's Resource Center.

Student Life

John Feeney is the new director of Public Safety on the San Francisco Campus. Feeney comes to Pacific as a retired captain with 29 years of service with the San Francisco Police Department and former chief of police at Chico State University. 

Robin MacEwan is the new assistant director for corporate and employer engagement in the Career Resource Center.

Jennifer Rossi is a new business support specialist I in the Career Resource Center.
