Professional Development

Respect in the WorkplaceThe University of the Pacific provides a wide range of training and professional development programs for all staff members.  

All University employees are eligible to attend any training and professional development program, as appropriate.  While there may be fees associated with certain programs, the majority of the programs offered through the University have no fees.

Human Resources

Training provided through Human Resources are:

  • New Staff Orientation:  All new staff are required to attend new staff orientation. Please see New Staff Orientation for schedule.
  • Respect in the Workplace: University of the Pacific is committed to fostering and maintaining a respectful and positive campus climate. Learning and Development

Pacific provides a wide range of no-cost training courses, series and resources to help enhance and develop your skills to be successful.  These are offered through Learning + Development.

Bridge LMS logo

Access online learning from Bridge ( Bridge is University of the Pacific's learning management system for employees - staff, faculty and student employees. Take advantage of professional development and compliance courses, manage individual and department courses, and register for live learning opportunities through Bridge.

Staff Advisory Council

The Staff Advisory Council also provides resources and encourage staff development opportunities, SAC may apply for a Staff Development Scholarship.
