Accelerated Credential for Educators (ACE Residency) - online and face-to-face hybrid format

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
It is never too late to begin the career that's right for you. We created the hybrid evening and online degree for education professionals program (ACE Residency) for paraprofessional educators, teaching assistants, early childhood providers and others who haven't had the opportunity to earn a degree and the credentials required to start their teaching careers.  This accelerated program fits working professionals' busy schedules. Students take two, four-hour evening classes per week. During the program, courses typically meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 9:30 throughout each of the four semesters.  Approximately two years later, upon successful completion of the program, you'll graduate with a bachelor's degree in liberal studies and an Education Specialist Credential: Mild/Moderate and/or Moderate/Severe.  Click here to view the ACE brochure.

UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Entry into a cohort begins in mid-August of each year with the beginning of the Fall Semester. Please visit Admissions to start a transfer application for complete admission requirements.
CURRICULUM
The accelerated program ensures that you have rich experiential learning opportunities while finishing the program in a timely manner. This program takes real commitment: our courses are accelerated and intensive. The support you'll receive from the professors and students in the program, however, makes this one of the most rewarding journeys you'll ever undertake. This program is organized specifically to help earn a Bachelor of Liberal Arts studies in a cohort group. Courses are organized for the cohort group so you are not competing with other students for course placements. Click here to view a sample study plan.
TRANSFERABLE COURSES
ACE Residency is for individuals who have completed 60 units prior to entering Pacific.

RESIDENCY
This program is designed for those who gain experiential learning in the field while working as a paid paraprofessional. Candidates use their paraprofessional placement for their designated fieldwork. They have the opportunity to implement behavioral strategies, accommodation techniques, and pedagogy practices on a daily basis with their mentoring teacher all while maintaining a salary as a paraprofessional. The last semester, candidates solo teach for a minimum of 4 weeks in their classroom setting.

For those not working as paraprofessionals, typical fieldwork and student teaching placements are provided.
SPECIAL REDUCED TUITION AND FINANCIAL AID
We're committed to making your education affordable.  Our all-inclusive tuition rate is $734/unit (with no additional fees, aside from textbooks). In addition to federal and state financial aid, we actively work with school district partners to secure funding for students.
