General Academic Tutoring Center
Mission Statement
Our mission is to help undergraduate University of the Pacific students succeed in college by becoming independent, self-confident and efficient learners through providing on-going tutoring support. We seek to assist Pacific students to meet the academic standards of the University, as well as their own personal educational goals.
The General Academic Tutoring Center's tutors are sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students who have succeeded academically with a B+ or better in the class they are tutoring or have been recommended by their Professors. The General Academic Tutoring Center offers free tutoring in a variety of subjects to currently enrolled students at Pacific's Stockton campus (as resources and tutor availability permit). In addition, our tutors go through training each semester learning how to tutor for different learning styles, tutoring strategies, and nation-wide best practices for tutoring.

Tutoring is a great addition to your college study strategies and does not display weakness, but strength in knowing where you may need some additional help when facing a challenge in your coursework. Our peer tutors have experience with these same courses and are prepared to share their knowledge and study techniques with you. Let's work smarter, not harder.
