Faith Davies All-University Leadership Awards
In support of Interim President Pallavicini’s announcement, on 3/26/2020, that no in-person Commencement 2020 ceremonies will be held, it is with a sad yet understanding heart that we inform you that the Faith Davies All-University Leadership Awards luncheon, previously scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2020, has been cancelled.
- Elizabeth Griego Outstanding Student Leader Award
This award recognizes a graduating senior (92 units or more) and is presented at the all-university commencement ceremony.
Strong nomination letters should include evidence of the following:
- Contributions have significantly improved the student experience and will be sustained beyond this student's graduation.
- Demonstrated outstanding scholarship and service to the campus community.
- The impact of the nominees involvement should be broad and supported by at least two letters of support.
- Jesse Marks Co-Curricular Award
This award recognizes a graduating senior (92 units or more) who has made significant and outstanding contributions to the university.
Strong nomination letters should include evidence of the following:
- Significant involvement in organizations and activities outside of the classroom.
- Involvements have positively impacted the campus community in significant, meaningful ways.
- Dochterman Outstanding Junior Scholarship
This award recognizes a student with junior standing who has made significant contributions to the university.
Strong nomination letters should include evidence of the following:
- Junior standing is considered between 56-92 units or in the fourth year of a five-year program.
- Demonstrates leadership in the classroom through strong academic achievement and involvement.
- Serves as a positive role model for others outside of the classroom and works to influence positive change in the university community.
- Outstanding Graduate Student Leader Award
This award recognizes a graduate student who has made significant contributions to the university.

Has begun making a significant contribution to their field through excellence in research, service, programming, etc.

- Anderson Y Community Service Award
This award recognizes an outstanding registered student organization engaged in the Pacific and surrounding local community.
Strong nomination letters should include evidence of the following:
- Routinely engages in ongoing community service.
- Organization action and activities exemplify and support the mission of Anderson Y, to empower others and build a healthy community.
- Include at least one support letter from a community-based organization that you have served outlining the impact of your service.
- Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award
This award recognizes an advisor(s) who has provided significant assistance towards advancing the goals and mission of a registered student organization.
Strong nomination letters should include evidence of the following:
- Has demonstrated a strong commitment to a registered student organization which has resulted in student growth and development.
- Actively assists in the navigation and interpretation of university policies and procedures.
- Participation as advisor supports the university mission statement by developing practice-ready graduates.
- Podesto Award for Excellence in Student LIfe, Mentoring, and Counseling
This award recognizes members of the Pacific community who has played a significant role in enriching the student experience.
Strong nomination letters should include evidence of the following:
- Is an educator, staff or faculty, who significantly supports whole-student learning through direct advising and mentoring of students
- Works in support of Pacific's core mission of preparing individuals for lasting achievement and responsible leadership in their future careers and communities
- The impact of the nominees involvement should be broad and supported by multiple letters of support.
- Student Organization Of the Year Award
This award recognizes a registered student organization who has made a lasting impact on the Pacific community.
Strong nomination letters should include evidence of the following:
- The organization is visible on campus and is recognized/respected for providing quality programs, services, and/or experiences to its members and the campus community.
- Collaborates with other clubs/organizations and involves the campus community in positive programs and activities.
- Promotes Pacific's definition of responsible leadership through involvements and actions.
- Pacific Tiger Award
This award is presented annually by the Pacific Alumni Association to recognize a registered student organization that exhibits extraordinary school spirit , encourages student participation in activities and events, promote school spirit, and/or provides students with knowledge of Pacific's heritage, traditions, and history.
About the Faith Davies Awards
Established in 1994, the Faith Davies All-University Leadership Awards are endowed by former university regent Paul Davies Jr. and named in honor of his mother, former university regent and benefactor Faith (Crummey) Davies '26. These awards recognize the success of Pacific students, faculty, staff and student organizations across all three campuses.
